Tailgate/Game Notes

The Aggies of Utah St rolled into town this wet and cold September Saturday which happend to be Homecoming '07.  The tailgate began with the Univ of Utah Homecoming Alumni 5K in which one of our tailgaters Erin Clark ran in (incl. Ute gymnasts).  This began as a cool early fall morning which turned to a light rain to a steady rain to finally snow by halftime of the game.  Attendees (20+) today were surprisingly high considering the weather forecast.  On the menu today were Cajun chicken sandwiches and grilled brats.  Mike & Bonnie Clark brought some killer brownies and someone (I'm sorry I don't know your name) brought homemade corn bread.  Finally, today was the introduction of our newest tailgater!  Randy & Andrea McCracken's first child attended his first tailgate at just 10 days old!  Congrats Randy & Andrea!

As for the game, 'The Battle of the Brothers' began with the Aggies drawing first blood going up 7-0 in the first quarter.  After that, the Utes ground out the win in a mix of rain and snow.  QB-Brian Johnson returned as the starter and threw 2 TD's and RB-Darrell Mack ran for 132 yards and 1 TD.  WR-Derrick Richards returned a punt 75 yards for a TD as well.  It was good to see the Utes right the ship this week however they have quite the challenge at Louisville next week.
