Tailgate/Game Notes

The second home game of the 2009 season marks also the 4th annual salsa contest.  We had nearly 15 salsas to judge with Mike & Bonnie Clark coming out as this year's champs!  Runner up congratulations go to Nate & Ashley!  We had arguably the largest turnout ever with estimates near 80+ tailgaters.  Thanks to everyone who came, those who submitted salsas, and thank you to everyone who brought a side dish to accompany the steak/chicken tacos for our tailgate.  We intend on camping out and staking claim to our spot through the end of the season so anyone/everyone is welcome to come up and join us on Friday evenings.  I hope to be up to our spot around 6pm on Fridays.  Bring along a tent, camper, trailer or do what Scott does...sleep in the bed of his truck!

The Louisville Cardinals came out west hoping to upset our Utes.  Not this day.  Although the Utes suffered a season-ending injury to star RB-Matt Asiata, backup RB-Eddie Wide came in relief and racked up 129 yards in relief.  QB-Terrance Cain finally connected on the deep ball with always reliable WR-David Reed on a 42 yard pass play.  The Utes continued their dominance over the Big East conference improving to 7-0.  For a complete game recap go here
