Tailgate/Game Notes

The first tailgate of the 2005 season was a huge success with some 30+ attending on a terrific sunny Friday afternoon.  The Arizona Wildcats jumped out to a 3-0 lead early in the 2nd quarter but the Utes responded with 10 unanswered points to take a 10-3 halftime lead.  The 3rd quarter started with Arizona marching down the field and scoring to tie it up at 10-10.  The Utes then responded with 17 points, including an interception returned for a TD by safety Eric Weddle.  The Cats made it a game after converting on a 4th and goal to get within 3 (27-24).  The Utes had to rely on RB-Quinton Ganther to put together two big runs and put the Cats deep in their own territory with one timeout left.  The game ended on another interception by safety Casey Evans to seal the win.
