Colorado St Rams - 21

Game Notes

This was our pick for the travel game this year (each year we select at least one away game to travel to: 2004-Arizona/SDSU, 2003-UNLV, 2002-Arizona).  Landon Clark, Jake Hunsaker, Tony Milne, Bob Leeper, and Bryan Tippetts all made the trip to Fort Collins.  This also allowed some of us to take in a Redskins vs Broncos NFL game the day after the Utes/Rams game.  The Utes game got started with us parking in the main lot (a dirt field) only to be heckled the entire 15 minute walk into the stadium (all in fun).  The day could not have been better with a sunny day and mild temperatures.  The Utes scored first with a gutsy call by faking a field goal attempt only to have S/holder Eric Weddle run for the touchdown.  The Utes defense held the Rams and standout RB-Kyle Bell with no significant yards or touchdowns for 3 quarters.  The Rams scored 18 unanswered points to gain a 21-17 lead.  The Utes marched down the field in the last minutes only to be stopped on 3 consecutive goal line stands by the CSU defense to end the game.

The Redskins/Broncos game was a very entertaining game even though the game temperatures were very cool with a steady but light rain throughout.  The Broncos came away with the win but not before the Redskins nearly tied the game by going for a two-point conversion which the Broncos were able to turn away in the last minute.  Within the pictures below are some Broncos tailgating groups that we walked by.  We all made mental notes of some of the tailgates that should give us some more ideas about expanding and improving our tailgates!
