TAILGATE INFORMATION

Welcome to our tailgate information page!  This page will inform you of tailgate etiquette and manners.  Here we will list the items that we as tailgate coordinators provide and what you as tailgate fans, can expect!  As our good friend, Joe Cahn ("The Commissioner of Tailgating") says, "Come early, stay late, & celebrate!"
RULE #1: Arrive early!  We will be at our tailgate spot no later than 4 hrs BEFORE kickoff!  This provides for plenty of time for food, relaxing, and fun!  If game time is an evening kickoff - we're prepared to spend the whole day there and you should make every effort possible to do the same!

RULE #2: Bring something...food that is!  The only way to make this tailgate great, is when everyone pitches in!  Be creative and bring a side dish or dessert.  Too many bring drinks/chips, sorry folks, that's not going to cut it.  This is a tailgate - not a poker night.

RULE #3: Wear school colors!  This is a tailgate for college football fans not a "linger-longer"?!  Everyone is at the tailgate for one reason and that's to celebrate football and the Utes.  Wear red or white not only to the game but for the tailgate as well.  Hell, go out and paint a giant "U" on your chest...you might just win the "Tailgater of the Week" award?

RULE #4: Have fun!  We added a television/satellite last season to the tailgate so there is no reason to stay home to watch a game on tv?  We'll have it on at the tailgate.  We happen to tailgate right next to a big grass field where we toss a football/frisbee and have throwing contests.  There's nothing better than hanging with friends & eating plenty of great food on a beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon (or Thurs/Friday afternoon whatever the case may be?).
RULE #5: Bring your own chair!  This is not a general admission seating tailgate so bring your chair if you plan to sit.  Those folding camping chairs you see around are perfect for the tailgate and they're easy to pack around as well.  You can find them for $7-10 at most Gart's Sports, Galyan's, Wal-Mart, Costco, or Target.
